I just can’t wait till I get my hands on this review. What a season we just witnessed… Massa leading the way, Lewis showing a glimps of the new F1 king, Alonso fighting back like a 2-time champ and Kimi sneaking thru for the championship. Wonder what 2008 will look like? 93 days to go until the Aussie GP!

My dvd should be arriving in the mail tomorrow but I already know it’s going to be good. I’ve been an avid F1 fan since 2000 and I must say even though F1 lost M Schumacher, he has opened up a window of opportunity for these “mortals” to fight it out ’till the end. (I say this because Schummi is always going to be an immortal god to me
With that said, the 2007 season is arguably one of THE BEST season in recent memory. In 2005 schumi had an unreliable car and so did kimi, and therefore Fernando got the wdc almost by default. In 2006 it was a lot closer and just once again very unfortunate engine failures were the reason the things ended on a sour and rather boring note.
HOWEVER, in 2007 the top running team’s had close to 100% engine reliability. And in my 7 seasons of watching F1, never have I witnessed two rival cars so evenly matched. It was literally ferrari winning a few races, then mclaren returning the favor. And to top it off, We got the rookie Phenom LEWIS, who was SO SO CLOSE to breaking literally every single record a rookie could ever possibly achieve in his debut. Not to mention BEATING the two time world champion in rankings!! How bout that?!
This is going to be a MUST HAVE. If you are an F1 fan, BUY THIS. And well deserved for kimi finally getting the crown. The man deserves it

As of today Kimi Raikkonen is the confirmed 2007 champion (google for McLaren appeal details). As a completely biased Kimi fan since he first started with McLaren, this means I will absolutely love this DVD. With 6 wins compared to a maximum of 4 for anybody else, he completely deserved to be the champion. Additionally this disc will herald the emergence of the incredible Lewis Hamilton. A future world champion for sure. Finally nobody can take away from Fernando Alonso the fact that he’s still amongst the strongest drivers in the field. He finished 1 point behind the champion.
These three drivers fought hammer and tongs for the championship all year, with Felipe Massa staying in contention for most of that time as well. An incredible 4-way fight.
I hope they solve the video compression issues from the 2006 disc (I have a review of that up on Amazon too), and some better writing would be much appreciated, but this was one of the best years ever for Formula 1. This DVD is a must-have for any F1 fan.

Spy saga, rookie sensation, Shumacher-less, betrayal, and a new king crowned. That is the story of the 2007 Formula 1 season. This dvd packs it all in. The 2007 review comes on 2 disc, with the season on one and extras on another. This is fantastic as the quality is much improved over previous years where they compressed it all on one disc. Much more enjoyable.
In 2007, Fernando Alonso switched over to Mclaren after winning back to back titles with Renault, and Kimi Raikkonen replaced Shumacher at Ferrari. The Mclaren car seemed to be the one to beat that year, and with Fernando helping to develop it, it seemed like a potent unbeatable combination.
Then Lewis Hamilton burst onto the scene. With the first few races in, everyone took notice. This guy was greatness in the making and actually had the tenacity to fight a double world champion in his own team in his rookie year. Fernando became bitter, and demanded priority, and when he didn’t get it, turned his back on Mercedes. The spy scandal was already in motion at this point, but a bitter Fernando helped push it further (as media reports).
In the end….Mclaren were fined $100 million and stripped of all constructors points. Lewis Hamilton had the championship in the bag with a nice lead going into the last 2 races, but made rookie mistakes which cost him the title. In the end…the Iceman attacked silently and won the championship BY ONE POINT in the final race.
This season had it all, and this dvd retells the tale perfectly. If you did not see the 2007 season, and watching this for the first time, do a little background search on the season to get further in depth detail about the scandal that year. A must for any F1 fan!

This I think is the best F1 DVD in history! Every race is detailed with information including all the dramas of the season. The greatest thing about this DVD is Kimi being the WDC! woot woot! Every F1 fan has to have this copy!
